X Abstract

A new compact frequency doubling active transponder using a push-push technique is presented. Two outputs in anti-phase from the receiving patch antenna are amplified nonlinearly using MMICs and combined in phase suppressing the fundamental and enhancing the second harmonic. The doubled signal is then transmitted from a second patch antenna with a measured conversion gain of 6 dB
