X Abstract

A traveling wave antenna array with the crosstie-overlay slow-wave structures serving as the transmission lines is described. The measured radiation pattern is shown to agree with the calculated radiation pattern, and the frequency-scanning feature is also demonstrated. Due to the slow-wave transmission lines and the integrated design of the feed structure and the radiating elements, this antenna is quite suitable for monolithic microwave integrated circuits
