X Abstract

A meandered dipole with polarisation orthogonal to its length is presented. The dipole is made by loading a folded dipole in a way similar to a left handed transmission line. A prototype has been designed and constructed. Results confirm that good input matching and radiation pattern are achieved, although gain is low due to losses in the loading structure
